Aid Worth Giving

UNDERSTAND. CHOOSE. FOLLOW THROUGH.

AID COMES IN
MANY FORMS.
THIS IS OURS.

We help people become more aware, thoughtful givers. Find organizations, understand the evidence and stay interested in what happens after you help.

01 / OUR CONTRIBUTION

A personal project with a public purpose.

Aid Worth Giving is an independent, founder-led project. We guide people toward ways to help through money, time, skills and voice. Donations go through organizations’ own routes; we do not receive or distribute them.

Our contribution is the effort put into research, explanation and making those routes easier to understand. This website is the founder’s way of giving.

“Aid comes in many forms. This website is mine.”

A note from the founder

AI assists with research, drafting and building this site. AI can make mistakes. Editorial responsibility remains with the project’s founder; AI assistance does not turn a source check into an independent audit or expert certification.

02 / A QUESTION FOR THE GIVER

Why “Aid Worth Giving”?

At first, the name can sound like a question about who deserves your help. We chose it deliberately to invite a deeper question: what care have you put into the aid you are giving?

Aid becomes worth giving through effort: understanding the need, examining the organization and route, respecting people’s choices, and following through. Money is one form of aid. Your time, skills, voice and attention can be others.

Pausing to understand the name mirrors the pause we encourage before helping. The question is about our responsibility as givers. People’s worth is never conditional on being selected by a donor or appearing in this directory.

Thoughtful effort can improve a decision; it cannot guarantee an outcome. We want to help you give with care and remain open to what the evidence shows.

03 / NO PAID INCLUSION

Our purpose is better giving.

We are unfunded and do not accept donations or contributions. Charities do not pay us for inclusion or promotion. We accept no sponsorship or referral payments.

We advocate responsible giving, dignity and accountability. We do not promote an organization because it finances or endorses us. Listing an organization reflects the research described in its guide; it is not a guarantee of trustworthiness or effectiveness.

Choosing sources and organizations involves editorial judgment. Being unpaid does not remove the possibility of bias or error. Any relevant personal or organizational relationship should be disclosed with the affected entry. Any future change to these funding or inclusion policies must be disclosed here.

04 / RESEARCH TO HELP YOU RESEARCH

What we check. What you can examine.

Our directory uses minimum public-source checks. Inclusion requires evidence for all four areas below and no unresolved blocking issue in those checks. The original sources, review dates and limitations appear in each organization guide.

  1. Identity

Establish the named organization and identifiable entity using available public evidence. Record when legal or registration information comes from the organization itself.

  2. Official presence

Identify its official website and, where relevant, linked social accounts. A familiar name or social following alone is insufficient.

  3. Reported activity

Find dated evidence of reported work, preserve its place and reporting period, and distinguish plans, work underway, reported delivery and outcomes. Organization-authored reporting remains attributed.

  4. Giving route and recipient

Identify an official or authorized route and the named receiving entity. Explain affiliates, intermediaries, restrictions and route limitations. We do not make a payment to test a route.

Sources, matching and country context

We seek affected communities’ and local organizations’ perspectives alongside relevant regional, Asian and Western sources. We assess specificity, methods, access to events and independence. A publisher’s location or reputation alone does not establish accuracy. Not every record has been researched across every region or independently corroborated.

We trace repeated reports to their original source and preserve uncertainties. A pledge is different from a shipment, crossing entry is different from household delivery, and an organization’s report is different from independent evidence.

Matches describe reviewed work and your choices; they are not effectiveness scores. Entries are alphabetical rather than paid placements. Where country-specific evidence does not establish a sector, broad portfolio records appear under All causes.

The globe uses the dated INFORM August 2026 assessment. It is not a live feed, a moral hierarchy or an ordering of where donations should go. Gaza has a separate place page within Palestine. Country-wide numbers may obscure local conditions.

Our collection is incomplete. Missing coverage means a research gap, not an absence of need or worthwhile organizations. See the dated country coverage and remaining gaps.

Review dates and when we hold an entry

Operational updates use a 180-day reporting-period window; annual programme reports use 365 days. Source reviews are due within 90 days. These are our directory rules, not proof of present-day delivery. Access or organizational changes can require an earlier review.

We hold candidates when identity, official presence, reported activity or an authorized route cannot be sufficiently established, or a blocking issue remains unresolved. A held candidate is not a finding of fraud, misuse or poor impact. A website that cannot be accessed may simply need another source.

Expired checks block the guided donation handoff until updated. Reviews are performed in batches; we do not continuously monitor every organization or guarantee immediate detection of changes.

05 / KEEP YOUR OWN JUDGMENT

A starting point you can question.

Our checks are not financial or impact audits. We have not independently established the use of an individual gift, current bank ownership, payment settlement or every reported field outcome. Legal standing may require confirmation beyond an organization’s own statements.

Blog updates identify their original publisher, date basis and limitations. They remain organization-reported accounts. A news post does not itself validate a payment route.

We have no independent review board or external audit of our directory. The founder is responsible for editorial decisions, including disputed ones. Published evidence should be open to challenge; corrections should explain what changed and when rather than quietly erase uncertainty.

The founder remains anonymous by choice. This contribution is about the work rather than personal recognition. We publish our methods, sources, dates and limitations so you can examine our decisions. There is currently no formal external appeals process or public corrections submission channel.

Use our guides to begin your research. Read the original sources and the organization’s current terms, ask focused questions through its official channels, and follow later reporting.
