What we checked, and what remains uncertain

Minimum public-source checks passed on 2026-10-03: named identity, official presence, recent reported activity and an authorized giving route with an identifiable recipient.

Minimum public-source checks only. Registration statements and programme results may be organization-authored. Live registry standing, bank ownership, payment settlement, use of an individual gift and field outcomes were not independently audited. No payment made. Country evidence describes its stated reporting period, not guaranteed delivery today. Annual-report entries use a 365-day reporting-period review window; a new report or source review is needed sooner if operations or access change.

Official giving notice names ALIMA USA Inc., US EIN 26-0397519. French association SIREN 831620398 is separately disclosed. Senegal denotes operational headquarters, not claimed founding jurisdiction.

Reading this guide: questions worth asking

Editorial guidance prepared 2026-10-04 from the reviewed record. This is not a new financial or field audit.

ALIMA's operational headquarters is in Dakar, while the checked giving route receives gifts through ALIMA USA. Those are different roles, not interchangeable locations. Its report released in July 2026 describes 2025 medical work. In Cameroon, the Dschang project closed; the listing concerns other reported programmes. General gifts support a wider portfolio unless a country restriction is confirmed.

Before you give

  • Are you selecting the checked US affiliate, or another recipient whose route needs separate review?
  • If a country or facility matters to you, can ALIMA confirm both an allocation and whether that programme continues?

Follow progress

  • Look for newer country chapters explaining which services continued, changed or lost funding.
  • For Cameroon, distinguish updates on continuing reported programmes from the closed Dschang project.

The annual report is organization-authored. It does not independently establish present services, continued funding, access or use of an individual gift. Other fundraising affiliates can have different recipients and conditions.

Help beyond money

Read and share the dated operational sources. No volunteer vacancy or deployment is promised.

Read the dated activity source before sharing information. Respect consent, preserve context and correct errors. Explore ways to help beyond money.

After you contribute
  1. Keep the confirmation and appeal terms. Most pooled gifts cannot be traced individually to one recipient.
  2. Set a reminder to read the next programme update or report.
  3. Look for services delivered, barriers, unmet needs and what changed. Adjust your support as you learn.
